NABARI no OUIf you possessed the wisdom of all things, if it lent you the power to do anything, what would you wish for? And more importantly, what would you be willing to do to get control of it? The ninjas of Nabari have waged a war for over hundreds of years for it, in secret and in the shadows of history and this struggle continues on to the present day. Caught in this war, unaware for most of his life that he is the prize, is Rokujou Miharu who possesses within his body the Shinrabanshou, the wisdom of all creation that exceeds human capacity, dormant until the war finally catches up to him. Two powers or rather two goals have emerged, the Banten and their allies, the Fuuma, who wish to protect Miharu and seal the Shinrabanshou away to finally end the war and the Iga, most represented by its Kairoushuu faction, who wish to gain control of the Shinrabanshou for their own ends, to shape the world in the image its leader sees fit.

All Miharu wants is the return of his carefree life, but swept up in this conflict that threatens the lives of his friends, Miharu discovers that the line between friend and foe is an easy one to cross and that it is in this battle that he may discover something important to him.

Aaaaand will relinquish it because hey not everyone wants to tl;dr about rp like I do (read: not as much as a nerd as I am) S-So while working on stuff for Seth it was brought quite sharply to my attention that I am a srs bznz nerd about plotting and researching on things for my characters. Even for stuff that I eventually never use, I uh actually enjoy reading up on. So it also got my wondering what sort of research/resources people do and have for their characters! And I'm not talking just for accurate information but also in part to draw conclusions/inspiration about their characterization from? Like that old Johnny Depp story about basing Jack Sparrow on a gay Keith Richards (if I even remember it correctly)! So!

What do you do to get into the mindset/mood to write your character? What do you need to look into to write them? (aside from their source material obviously) Listening to a certain sort of music, reading up on similar characters etc? haku is so much better at posts like this but I'm really curious!

IN OTHER NEWS: uhhhh new multifandom game recommendations please? AU games are fine too.

Games I'm currently looking at - fourthwish & discedo. It's just a matter of deciding who to app where. Kouichi getting apped somewhere is a sure thing (might even try econtra_rpg since they have a Miharu and while I hate being cast-reliant... it's really kind of necessary to have the Shinrabanshou around for him to like. Do the more plotty and interesting things that I want to explore in playing him.) But I need to pick just one place because I hate playing the same character at more than one game. It's an odd pet peeve I know.
